Company introduction
Vernon Details is a detailing and paint protection shop at Unit B, 2810 48 Ave in Vernon. We clean, correct and protect vehicles by hand: daily drivers, work trucks, family SUVs, campers, boats and the weekend car you never let anyone else touch.
North Okanagan driving is hard on paint. Highway 97 throws gravel, Silver Star Road gets salted all winter, and the summer sun bakes clear coat. So we go past a wash. We take out the grime, fix the paint, then lock it in with ceramic coating or paint protection film so it stays that way.
You get a clear price before we start, a car that is done right when you pick it up, and a detailer who tells you straight what your vehicle needs and what it does not.

Questions and answers
A liquid ceramic layer that bonds to your clear coat and hardens. It is far tougher and longer lasting than wax, it makes water bead and roll off, and grime and road salt rinse away instead of sticking.
Yes. A coating locks in whatever is under it, swirls included. Every package includes a decontamination and at least a single-stage polish, and the higher packages include multi-stage correction.
No. A coating resists light marring, chemicals and UV, but a rock at highway speed goes through it. For chips, put paint protection film on the front end, then coat the rest.
Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap, skip brush car washes, and dry with a clean microfibre. Keep it dry for the first day and do not wash it for the first week while it cures.
Most exterior or interior details take a few hours. A full or deep detail is usually a day. Ceramic coating takes one to three days depending on how much paint correction your package includes.
Single-stage is one polishing pass that removes light swirls and brings back gloss. Multi-stage adds a cutting step first to take out deeper swirls, scratches and oxidation.
It removes swirls and scratches that sit in the clear coat. If you can catch it with a fingernail, it may be through the clear coat, and polishing can soften it but not erase it. We tell you which is which before we start.
That is what it is for. The film is a thick, clear urethane layer that takes the impact so your paint does not. Light swirls in the film level out with heat from the sun.
Yes, and it is a good combination: film on the front for chips, coating over everything for gloss and easy washing.
If chips on the hood and bumper bother you, start with film on the front. If you want easier washing and lasting gloss across the whole vehicle, choose a coating. Many Vernon drivers do both.
